Career best figures of eight goals from James McGee guided Fitzroy to their fourth win of Season 2006, a comfortable 44 point victory over Bulleen-Templestowe.

Avenging their loss from the week before, Fitzroy were on the attack from the outset with McGee doing the damage bagging three in the opening term. Supported up forward by the ever-present Zander Croft, McGee continued his domination in the second as Fitzroy set up a convincing half-time lead.

The opening half also saw the return of Jordan Batten, who after a week on the sidelines was back amongst the action throwing his body into every contest. Supported by the safe hands of Dom Pound-Palmieri & Justin Galligan and the pace of James Hodson, Fitzroy's midfield continued to run rings around their opposition who failed to match the Roys' pace and agility.

Fitzroy continued their dominance in the third term despite a large amount of player rotation. Sean Dillane pushed up forward for the first time in five weeks, reaping instant dividends with his first goal in Fitzroy colours. Jordan also enjoyed a spell on the ball, with newcomers Raph Lloyd & Patty Williamson-Hill all enjoying more responsibility.

A late flurry of goals from Bulleen ensured the homeside would post a respectable scoreline, however their 7.1 was still short of McGee's impressive return. Kicking seven in the opening three quarters McGee spent the majority of the last term at fullback, before leaving his opponent, dashing up the ground and slotting his eighth and the the side's last of the match.

A successful day out for all involved, Fitzroy now face their toughest challenge of the new season in the coming three rounds as they face the three sides relegated from Gold.

It will be a big test for Fitzroy as the boys try to prove their not just making up the numbers in Brown Division in 2006.
