Another impressive haul by Alexander Croft guided Fitzroy to their eleventh win of season 2006 last weekend, as the ladder-leaders comfortably accounted for Bulleen by 108 points at Brunswick Street Oval. Kicking a lazy nine goals including four in the opening term, Zander completed his clean sweep of kicking a goal against every Brown side while increasing his season tally to 65.

It was a day that belonged to the Fitzroy forwards who slotted two within the opening minute as the boys in blue and red stormed to a thirty-eight point lead at the first change. Dominating in all parts of the ground while playing with an increased intensity and desire, Fitzroy continued their rampage in the second bagging another couple to give the visitors plenty to think about at the long break.

Despite sitting fifth on the ladder the undermanned Bullants' finals aspirations were all but shattered in the third as the home side continued their domination in front of goal to put the game well beyond reach. Finishing with an impressive 17.18 to just 1.6, Fitzroy continue to set the pace at the top of the ladder, but can forfeit their stranglehold on the minor premiership if they slip up against East Malvern this weekend.

Dom Pound-Palmieri was once again best-on-ground dominating the midfield while displaying his versatility with a fourth quarter cameo in the ruck. Supported by his runners James Hodson & Jordan Batten, the midfield trio provided plenty of delivery to the side's major fowards. Justin Galligan revelled in the open space and continually made position well, while Raph Lloyd played four of his best quarters of football showcasing his skills both upfront and down back. Captain James McGee was once again potent up forward slotting four majors to take his season tally to 38, while Sean Dillane managed three goals in the last quarter in just his third stint in the side's forward line.

With just two rounds to go in the home-and-away season there hasn't been a more important fixture than this weekend's away clash against East Malvern. However if the boys form of recent is anything to go by they look well on their way to avenging their round six loss when the sides clash at DW Lucas Reserve.
